Art Rotterdam Afterparty: Antifragile body
1 Feb 2024 Starts at: 8 p.m. Location: Garage Rotterdam

Join us for the official Art Rotterdam afterparty!

| Doors open at 20:00
| Performance by Selma Selman at 21:00
| DJ set by smother until late

Selma Selman will say it loud and clear: all spaces are taken, and our selfishness is causing global problems. After that, she speaks to Omer, maybe a fictional character, a deity, an acquaintance, a brother, a lover, or her homme fatale. Evidently, Omer personifies the patriarchy itself as the world we were born into, not the world we chose.

| This event is part of the exhibition NO DANCING ALLOWED / 2
NO DANCING ALLOWED / 2, the last exhibition curated by Bogomir Doringer at Garage Rotterdam, explores dance rituals in times of global constraints like the COVID-19 pandemic, ongoing wars, and recent bans on raving and protesting in Italy. The exhibition dives into the historical interplay between body politics and dance, unravelling the threads that connect them and asking for thinking reflections on the moving spirit of dance within this evolving narrative.
The exhibition runs from January 27 until April 7
