shadow__play is an interactive multimedia installation that invites you to take a seat behind the pink, fuzzy desk. Through facial- and hand tracking, the participant digitally transforms into a livestream as a Vtuber character. This allows you to interact anonymously with potential participants from around the world who are watching this stream. The interior of this side of the wall is inspired by e-girl culture, featuring various designed 3D prints, a fuzzy pink desk, and embroidered elements on the gaming chair. At the other desk, visitors can follow the Vtuber's livestream and anonymously leave comments in the stream. The active and passive participants are separated by a wall and can only (anonymously) interact with each other through the screens.
