Vibeke Mascini (1989) is a visual artist and writer. She teaches sculpture and is a research fellow at the Royal Academy of Visual Arts in The Hague. She did a residency at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam in 2021-2022. As a lecturer she has also worked at the Academie van Bouwkunst (Architecture) and the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, both in Amsterdam. For a number of years now, her artistic practice focuses on historic and futuristic concepts of electricity as a speculative representative of life. Through sculptures, installations, video and words, Mascini aims to unravel the idea of electricity by establishing a direct link to the source.
