Manjot Kaur’s work navigates between drawing, painting and time-based media to construct imaginative, fictitious and abstract narratives that build between the socio-political realities and the sovereignty of nature. Her practice involves questions that point towards understanding the process of generation, regeneration and reproduction both in human and non-human species.

Kaur is currently an artist in residence at Jan van Eyck Academie, Maastricht, Netherlands (2020-2021). She was artist in residence at Unidee, Cittadellarte Fondazione Pistolleto, Italy, on scholarship from Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation, India in 2018. She did her BFA (2010) and MFA (University Gold Medal 2012) in painting from Govt. College of Art, Chandigarh.
