Silvia B. (born in the Netherlands, 1963) is well-known for her sculptures of hybrid figures caught between age, gender and culture, and between human, animal and doll. In addition to her iconic sculptures, she creates drawings and photographs, and also curates various projects.
Her work, made with meticulous precision and a great deal of patience, coaxes visitors to take a closer look, and is characterised by a constant battle between attraction and repulsion.
