Juni's Longing Silvia B.
(2020)

Here you see work from a new series of sculptures by Silvia B. in which the boundaries between nature and culture become fluid and the vulnerability of both is shown. The bare skin of debarked branches and roots seamlessly blends into that of human adolescent body parts. In her images she constantly tries to unite incongruities. To rebalance the world for herself.

This series represents the splits of the new generations. They must get the most out of life and explore the whole world, while at the same time minimize their footprint and solving the whole environmental problem. The feast and drama of human existence in the Anthropocene.
