Creating an avatar in cyberspace, exploring gender roles, wearing a uniform: these are some of the answers to the human desire to escape from the restrictions and expectations of everyday life. These are ways in which we can give room to all aspects of our existence.

Air Tonalities is a performance that explores air as an artistic medium to create form and sound. Elise Ehry and Kitty Maria van Ekeren perform as two unemployed air hostesses using their non-industrial instruments like clay horns and silent flutes. The intimate sounds of their hand-crafted instruments come together with the sounds of DIY soldered electronic circuits. The voices of the air hostesses are amplified creating noisy and disruptive soundscapes.

On Friday the 5th of July we will close off the exhibition Identity Flux in a festive and culinary way - with a four course dinner in our exhibition space together with curator Nadine van den Bosch and the artists out of the exhibition.
