Swiped Horizon - Dawn Noor Nuyten
(2019)

Noor Nuyten magnifies the traces of our daily actions so they almost become abstract representations. She reconstructs our actions, based on greasy smudges and prints that we leave on a mobile phone screen with our fingertips. All the swiping on the screen betrays our behaviour. We can trace exactly which movements were made. These are the remains of our online presence. Swiped Horizons is rooted in the digital word, but when we squint our eyes the green and blue coloured shapes look like soft landscapes with rolling hills and wild waves.
