Eating and sexuality both exist on a spectrum of our basic needs. They possess an incredible primal power over us as they have the capacity to evoke mouth-watering imaginations and desires. Yet, while both are often depicted through similarly perfect and plump imagery, eating is considered innocent, while sexuality is riddled with complexity and taboo. Pairing them in media depictions therefore creates an odd sensation of provocative tension and guilty pleasure, as the sinful and sinless collide.
