Lana Čmajčanin is a visual artist born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Her socially engaged works encompass (sound) installation, video, and performance, frequently referencing the post-war situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, political frameworks, and the role of women. Čmajčanin holds a master’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Sarajevo, Department of Sculpture. Currently, she is a PhD candidate at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. In addition, she is a co-founder and member of the Association for Culture and Art Crvena. Čmajčanin lives and works in Vienna and Sarajevo.
