Ghinwa Yassine

Ghinwa Yassine is a visual artist based in Vancouver. She uses various media in her work, including film, installation, performance, text, and drawing. Her practice is thematically influenced by her autobiographical background – being born in a Shiite Muslim family and raised in Beirut during several periods of war and political disruptions.

She holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Studies from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, an MA in Digital Video Design from the University of the Arts Utrecht, and a BA in Graphic Design from the American University of Science and Technology in Beirut.
