Here we see half of a lion, Geologische Vondst (geological discovery) (2012); it is cut in half, but instead of bleeding flesh we see glittering amethysts, healing gemstones. It seems as if the animals are part of a fictional world in which reality and fantasy come face to face. In addition to the beauty and immortality the lion has been given here, we also catch a glimpse of its value. The price of endangered ‘wild’ animals has increased significantly in recent years.
