D’Aronco created a new work specially for Hemelbestormers. The Poet’s Mind is his attempt, similar to that of Boezem, to get through to the human spirit. D’Aronco found a Japanese website where the entire human skeleton is depicted in 3D. The artist downloaded the atlas and the lower portion of the skull from the website. Together, they carry the head. Right through the atlas is a long piece of tubing, representing the spine. The tubing is hollow, a mouthpiece between heaven and earth. Everything is able to pass through it: sound, thoughts and dreams.
