Visual artist Anouk Kruithof creates images with photography and film. Her work is crystal clear, playful and accessible. It is full of aesthetic pleasure.

Anouk Kruithof’s photographs are not photographs, her books are not books and her images are not images. There is always more to them. There are cross-references with many different meanings. It is an explosion of images: physically getting to work with photographs and structuring them in a unique style.

Recent work in this exhibition is the Sweaty Sculptures series. These are sculptures consisting of plexiglass, sponge, cellophane and photography. They tell a story but are colourfully abstract at the same time.

“Off The Wall” consists of photo stickers on the wall. These are photographs of walls in psychiatric hospital wards. Colourful emptiness multiplied by dozens.
