The artwork I consists of various sheets that used to be placed on top of each other. The first sheet has calligraphy by Samyn: one stroke of ink with each stroke of breath. The ink penetrated the sheets underneath, leaving lighter traces until they are no longer visible. This is how Samyn connects the vulnerability of a sigh to the disappearance of ‘being’.
